Dr. Bayley joined Altum Health in 2017 as Chief Medical Officer, bringing experience in health care performance and quality improvement as a physician leader in Ontario’s health system.
Dr. Bayley is also a clinician scientist with a focus on rehabilitation and recovery through exercise, virtual reality, tele-rehabilitation and functional electrical stimulation. He has a strong interest in how knowledge is put into day to day practice. Importantly, Dr. Bayley has a passion around the role that measurement has in promoting improvements in patient care and predicting who will benefit from treatment.
His work has redesigned the stroke and brain injury care systems in Canada by making best evidence available to clinicians through smartphone apps and Best Practices Guidelines in stroke, concussion and brain injury. He is very interested in utilizing this experience to help those served by Altum Health.
